Root for Your Friends

This is a two way street. You can’t expect your friends to root for you if you don’t root for them. Here’s how you can do that:

  • Be quick to praise: Train your first instinct to praise.
  • Be tactfully honest: Good people value constructive criticism deeply.
  • Expand their vision – “That’s awesome… and imagine if you… and have you seen this…?”
  • Signal‑Boost – Shares and like their stuff all the time and ask them to tell you when they post.

MCP explained without hype or fluff

So let’s revisit what MCP brings to the table: > Turns M ⨯ N integration problem by turning it into an M + N integration problem. Decouples AI client applications from AI tools and workflows for a platform.

Side Projects

My one tip is to use the tech stack you are most familiar with; don’t get lost in the frameworks rabbit hole. People don’t care what stack you’ve used to build it. Keep building!

AI Is Like a Crappy Consultant

My first try used Cursor, and let it edit everything. After a few iterations, I had a bare-bones application. But… I felt like I was pushing around a bag full of bolts. There was definitely stuff in there. But I didn’t even know how to think about the changes I needed, because I didn’t understand enough.

Coding as Craft: Going Back to the Old Gym · cekrem.github.io

In the context of coding, our “old gym” is the mental space where we wrestle directly with problems, algorithms, and architectures without the cushion of AI generating solutions for us.

Let’s get outta here, back to the old gym! 🏋️
